Fire and Fiber

Fire and Fiber

Fire and Fiber is the brainchild of an Indigenous mother working in social services. Fire refers to the use of heat for curing polymer clay, which I utilize to make into earrings. Fiber arts have always been a passion of mine, specifically crochet wearables.

The contrast between the softness and flexibility of fiber against the rigidity of clay is celebrated by Audrey, who walks between two worlds as an urban Canadian and an Aboriginal mother.
